About ME
MY STORY
I have always been a seeker of spiritual connection and personal growth. I am intrigued by what leads us to suffering (disconnection from Self) as well as the various tools available for healing (reconnection). How to have a healthy body and mind has also called me since I was a child, thanks to a bad cotton candy experience when I was about 9 (true!). Very early on in my life I noticed that how I felt was directly related to what I ate. It’s no wonder that the practices and philosophies of Yoga and Ayurveda found me!
As I was approaching 40, I began to feel more and more discontent. To any outsider and even to my rational mind at the time, I had nothing to be discontent about. I was at the peak of a career which I loved, was in a 10-year committed relationship with a very nice man, I had started to travel around the globe and I had family and friends that cared deeply for me. What more could I ask for?
And yet, each day was like putting on clothes that no longer fit. Every year looked about the same. I would run into people that I hadn’t talked to in five years and found I was giving the same update they previously received from me. I had allowed myself to become stagnant. Nothing was changing. I felt desperate for freedom, for the opportunity to grow, expand and experience life fully once again.
But then, I began to notice that the busyness of life was distracting me from a deep inner calling to change course. I realized that what had served me in life up until that point was no longer serving me as I moved into the evening of my life (hence the ‘PM’ in ‘PM Yogini’, and my initials).
I soon found that I couldn’t heed the call to change with the demanding work and social schedule I had at that time... I needed S-P-A-C-E for the next iteration of me to hatch.
So I walked out of the life I knew in 2009. It made no logical sense to me or anyone else at the time, but I have come to learn that not making sense is actually a good thing! I took a ‘gap’ year (about 15 months) to travel the world, broaden my horizons, heal my worn-out soul and dive deeply into Yoga, Ayurveda and the healing arts.
Indeed it was Yoga that found met. My inner calling turned into yelling in the spring of 2009, and in 2010 I completed my 200 hr Yoga teacher training and in 2015 my additional 300 hours for 500 total (RYT-500). The practices of Yoga have carried me as a constant, nurturing, firm companion to where I am today on my path of both expansion and depth. Yoga's complementary healing science of Ayurveda has only enhanced my experience as well as other healing modality trainings. Coaching for Transformation coursework has helped tie everything together as an empowering way to work with clients.

THE DRAGONFLY
I love the dragonfly. The dragonfly symbolizes many things - change, adaptability, joy, light, maturity, transformation and the ability to see the deeper meaning in life.
